Well all I can say is I hope you took my advice and went and saw Fighting With Wire play their last ever Belfast show, on a personal level absolutely gutted but I wish them all the best for the future! On to this week though and things are pretty sparse gig wise until Saturday when there are simply far too many to choose from.
Duke Special – The Empire – Wednesday 27th February 2013
The dread-locked Duke Special returns to Belfast to play his extremely successful album, ‘Songs From the Deep Forest’ in its entirety. It was the release of this album along side the massive media support for ‘Freewheel’ that catapulted Peter Wilson’s career to a whole new level. If that wasn’t enough support on the night comes from the massively talented David C Clements!
You can buy your tickets directly from the Empire for £15. There will also be some on the doors.
Shizznigh Promotions Presents: Uncle Social – Stiff Kitten – Friday 1st March 2013
Shizznigh Promotions have put together a nice showcase of some of the best upcoming local talent with Uncle Social, Hologram, The Late Twos, Gin Craze and My Sunday Hat all taking to the stage to show off their various qualities. It’s one of those shows where you will definitely get your money’s worth with 5 great bands for a measly £6. I mean what else are you likely to be doing on a Friday night?
Tickets are available on the door for only £6!
Eric Martin – Auntie Annies – Sunday 3rd March 2013
Hard rock vocalist Eric Martin has announced a stop off in Northern Ireland at Auntie Annie’s, Belfast on Sunday 3rd March 2013 with very special guest ‘The Professor’ Pat McManus performing a solo acoustic set. Eric is known worldwide as the voice of Mr. Big, an 80’s hard rock and glam metal band, best known for their hit ‘To Be With You.’ A rare chance to get up close and personal!
Tickets available for £14.50 from Ticketmaster.
