Hello! So we’ve finally gone and started a blog. There’s are many reasons for this, but i guess the main reason would be the fact that we want you all to see us in a more ‘candid’ light. We want you to see ‘behind the scenes’ and we want you to experience the things we experience, whether they are major positives or major vampire-sucking lows. We just think it’d be interesting for the majority of people to read/see, and we have a lot of interesting blogs coming your way over the next few months.
We’ll also be using this blog to showcase posts by our ‘Guest Bloggers’. These bloggers will range from musicians, to producers, to photographers all the way to digital media moguls. Exciting stuff!
On that note, have a look at this video we made about a month prior to our launch (we intended to launch on January 1st 2012, but due to a few major setbacks, we had to postpone our launch until February 1st 2012). It documents our ‘planned’ content and served as a little ‘introduction’ to the 100% of people who, at that point, probably assumed ‘chordblossom’ was a type of mascara or perfume.
Did you notice the ‘Guest Writers’ part? It even surprised me to see this old video and notice it. We always planned to have ‘Guest Writers’ involved in chordblossom, so it’s awesome to finally realize that idea and start that process off and running. ‘Codewords’ (also mentioned in the video) is another side of chordblossom that is yet to launch, but that’s because we’re sensibibly waiting until we have a bigger userbase in order to make sure it’s a success. I think it’ll be an awesome feature if we can do it correctly.
Back to this blog; we’ll be using this blog as a platform to try and get your feedback on idea’s that we’re working on / changes we’re thinking of making and things of that ilk. We really do value the opinions of the people who come to chordblossom.com, so please feel free to use your voice in the comments below whenever you have something to say. I think it’s an interesting concept to think that one day we might post a blog regarding an idea, and then receive a comment from a user that completely changes our opinion on our idea.
This is just a brief introduction. I have a tendency to write mini-novels as posts, so you can expect a lot of text real-estate from me soon.
Catch you then!
