Grungy alt rock is the speciality of Belfast four-piece Paper Tigers and they do not disappoint on new track ‘Moloko’.

The final single ahead of their upcoming EP Graceless, this anthemic number is the perfect final taster of what’s to come. The song combines distorted riffs and thunderous drums which crash into the chorus of Hayley Morton’s frenzied, soaring vocals. A driving bassline underpins the track which still manages a catchy hook.

‘Moloko’ is about losing your sense of self in a relationship, with the lyrics sounding like an address to this toxic partner. The band explains: “They vampire your personality, they make themselves seem so vital to your continued existence and value as a person, systematically breaking you down while building themselves up, making you believe the worst about yourself [by] concocting half-truths and outright fabrications and turning those into gospel. It’s about someone else making you feel graceless.”

Paper Tiger’s EP Graceless will be available from 29th April.
