When a local band goes quiet or on hiatus for more than a few months, there is a feeling of dread that they might be the latest to bite the bullet. Go Swim were dangerously hovering in that will they or won’t they return bracket but delighted their fans by returning with a brand new single and a fast-moving video that could surely find its way into a tourism campaign.

Synths and electro pop are very much in vogue right now so the return of Go Swim feels like a good fit. ‘Surrender‘ marks a return to form for the indie five piece with sparkling guitars, pulsating beats and alluring vocals leaving expectations high for the band in 2016.
