The burden of expectation can be a difficult weight for any band to shoulder; a situation the Bangor electro pop lads Kowalski found themselves in. But like a fresh summers breeze down at Picky Pool, they managed to lay out the perfect soundtrack to summer. While their neighbours Two Door Cinema Club went for a more up-tempo vibe, ‘For the Love of Letting Go’ is a more laid back affair yet still retains that quintessential indie electro vibe.
For evoking memories of days spent at the beach, driving with the wind blasting through your hair or simply craving a classic 99 (with a flake if you are being fancy), this is the album for you.
It may have originally been released on the Take Care, Take Flight EP back in 2010 but this dreamy electro pop number still glistens and shimmers as bright as ever.
