Have you ever wondered what goes into producing a single? If you’re an aspiring or accomplished musician and you’ve answered yes, we might just have the programme for you.
The Nerve Centre in association with Honey Comb Creative Works and Generator NI have put together a 48 hour bootcamp to let you go behind the scenes and witness the production of a single. The supremely talented Rachel Sermanni will join forces with Peter McCauley of Rams’ Pocket Radio to write and produce a song for Smalltown America.
If you are lucky enough to attend, you’ll brush shoulders and take advice from the likes of Paul Steel (writing credits for Girls Aloud, Empire of the Sun & Mika), Carrie Davenport (NI’s go getting photographer) and video extraordinaire Darren Lee (Maverick Renegade Productions).
Explaining more about the 48hr music bootcamp Pearse Moore, Nerve Centre’s Chief Executive said: “The music industry is full of mystery, it’s a vast and tangled business and for musicians taking their first steps into the industry, the road to success can be daunting. The bootcamp will be an intense, but hugely beneficial 48hrs for musicians to uncover some of the industry’s biggest secrets.”
The 48hr Bootcamp is free and open to musicians of all levels, however advance registration is required via the Nerve Centre. Transport to all locations and meals will be provided.
