Rob’s Gig Guide: 19th – 25th August 2013

Must do better…This guide has developed a bit of a reputation for being late over the last few weeks. No-one to blame but myself unfortunately but thankfully I’ve got it up just in time for some great live events.

Jun Tzu – Voodoo, Belfast – Thursday 11th September 2014

I’m breaking out a bit this week away from my tendency for rock or indie and branching into hip-hop. Belfast native Jun Tzu celebrates the release of his album with an intimate gig in Voodoo. Support comes from the chaotic party man himself, BeeMickSee, Dan Magill and Leo Kamuts.

Admission is £5 on the door

Uncle Social – The Empire, Belfast – Friday 12th September 2014

Despite their band description being “Genre Buckets of noisy striped paint!!” Uncle Social could be more shoe-horned closer to the soulful musings of NI Soul Troup. Their companions for the evening will be Concrete Circus, The Keep and Paper Man.

Tickets are £5 on the door

Treehome – Pavilion, Belfast – Friday 12th September 2014

SO:NI’s Four Band Friday has a nice mix of new and more established talents this week. Headlined by Treehome, who continue to garner praise for their live show, alongside a live return for Indigo Fury. The line-up also features a run out for new act The Racks and an opportunity to see the revamped HOW.

Admission is £4.50 on the door

Do you want some Free Publicity?

Do you think your upcoming gig deserves to feature on my weekly gig listing or would you like us to come down and review your show? Well drop me an email at: livereviews@chordblossom.co.uk and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can.
