Fast becoming a fixture in the local music calendar, Buskfest returns to Banbridge for the latest iteration of the competition. Buskers of all ages and genres are being asked to sign up for a chance to perform, compete, and win incredible prizes including share of a £3,500 prize fund.
The event is free to both buskers and visitors and offers a fantastic family-friendly atmosphere where the streets of the town will come alive with music from 2:00pm to 5:00pm. The evening will feature the Prize Giving & Evening Concert from 5:00pm to 8:30pm in the town centre which includes a huge lineup of local talent, including Banshee who won the event in 2024 alongside The Reillys, and headliners The Nooks.
BBC Radio Ulster’s Ralph McLean who will be one of the judges had this to say: “‘If you haven’t yet visited BuskFest you are guaranteed a fantastic family day out. Enjoy the great atmosphere of the live music, dynamic street theatre, comedy and entertainment. As a music lover, I am delighted to be associated with BuskFest again this year.’”
Registration for this year’s Buskfest is now open at buskfest.com and will close on 13 June 2025. On the day of the event, all participating buskers must check in at the Old Town Hall between 11:30am and 1:00pm to claim their performance pitch.
