We were going to go with the mischievous title along the lines of “Little Bear are no more” or “Little Bear consigned to history” but ultimately we are too nice.
Either title in fairness would be correct as one of our favourite local bands have announced they are to change their name. Now christened PØRTS, we are just very grateful that they will be sticking round for a while yet. Sadly Little Bear is a trademarked name in the States and with the band set to go on tour there in June, they couldn’t take any chances. Plus if you have ever done a search for Little Bear you will notice that there are so many bands, tv shows and toys with the same name, therefore finding them online could be difficult to newcomers.
To celebrate the news or soften the blow depending on your opinion the Derry band have released a brand spanking new single. It is another melodic affair with the typically stunning vocal harmonies shinning through.
