Local festivals like Stendhal and Sunflowerfest have grown from being niche DIY events to being premier live music events that are able to attract not only musicians from across Ireland but much further afield. For music fans looking to get their first local festival experience of the summer they should luck no further than Co Armagh. The rather intimate Our Back Yard festival is back for its fourth instalment this Saturday 30th June 2018 and it looks set to be its biggest outing to date.
The headliner for 2018 is the irrepressible live force that is Hunkpapa who the organisers will hope continue their trait of packing out any venues they play. The line-up also features the rather lively Boss Sound Manifesto, the in your face rock of Petty Youth and Beauty Sleep who have a penchant for performing feel good summer anthems. Other artists playing on the day are The Vals, The Twisted Sisters, Anna’s Number, Joe Girvin & Paul and the Meanie.
Tickets for Our Back Yard start from £20 and there is the option to purchase camping passes. You can purchase tickets for the festival via Eventbrite. The weather is meant to be excellent so it really is a no brainer.
