It seems strange to say in June that it’s nearly time for Stendhal but with the festival moving away from its usual August spot to the start of July, we are only a few weeks away.
As usual the festival contains a whole host of local artists and it is wonderful to see them act as champions for the music scene in NI. We are especially pleased to see our Kickstart winner, Heart Shaped on the bill.
A new addition this year is the introduction of a special stage curated by Across the Line and BBC Radio Ulster. The line-up for the stage is stacked and includes CHERYM, the Florentinas and Lemonade Shoelace.
Gemma Bradley, presenter of ATL Introducing says: “I’m absolutely buzzing to be involved and the local artists featuring across the line-up is amazing. Stendhal has always worked hard to support grass roots music in Northern Ireland, so hosting a stage in association with BBC Radio Ulster and ATL Introducing makes total sense.”
The festival have also released the details of which artists will be playing on which days to enable everyone to plan ahead and avoid those dreaded clashes. If you really want to plan ahead, they’ve also released the performance times for each artist over on their Facebook page.
Tickets for Stendhal Festival 2022 are selling fast so if you don’t want to miss out on one of the biggest and best events in the NI music calendar, buy your tickets soon.
