A special festival of events will take place from Friday 4th March until International Women’s Day on Tuesday 8th March. Designed to highlight, celebrate and showcase women in music, as well as facilitate discussion with industry and artists on the issues surrounding the debate. It is of course the Women’s Work Festival.
The proceedings will be kicked off by a very special event featuring legendary BBC Radio 1 DJ, Annie Nightingale. She will take part in a special interview before playing a DJ set in the confines of the Oh Yeah Music Centre. Across the week there will also be specially curated events featuring Kaz Hawkins, Sister Ghost, Katharine Phillipa, Jealous Of the Birds, Saint Sister and Voxken to name just a few. Aside from gigs there will also be a keynote speech from Jessica Hopper a funding, advice & support information session.
