The gig guide has been on a bit of a break, possibly due to a lack of gigs, possibly down to laziness on my part. But there is enough going on this week that we need to draw a few shows to your attention ahead of the busy festival season.
Old Fang 1st Birthday – McHughs, Belfast – Wednesday 24th June 2015
Creative enterprise Old Fang are a year old and in typical fashion they’re showing off with an evening of local music. The music on offer will be from Travis Is A Tourist (showcasing material from his new EP), Rosie Carney and Jessica Doherty.
Admission is £5
Exposure #006: Echo Raptors – The Bar With No Name, Belfast – Friday 26th June 2015
Our next show has a rockish feel and we are delighted that it is headlined by Echo Raptors. The band have had a busy twelve months and we feel it is a real coup to secure them. They will be joined by The Racks and Venus Effect.
Admission is £5
Girls Names – Laverys, Belfast – Saturday 27th June 2015
Laverys is slowly but surely marking its return as a hot spot of great music and this gig is a prime example. Girls Names will play the newly opened roof terrace for a special open air gig. The four piece are often the buzz of the blogosphere so your opportunity to see them for free shouldn’t be missed.
Admission is free.
