At a truly exciting showcase gig on Friday 27th February 2015 in The Bar With No Name, Lauren Bird was crowned the winner of Chordblossom’s Kickstart competition. Having expended a lot of time and energy to get this far it was a pleasure to see our four finalists give absolutely everything to try and take home the prize. Unfortunately for Foreign Affairs, Chase The River and Death By Monkeys it wasn’t to be their night.
In a a jam packed venue, Lauren Bird mesmerized not only the judging panel but the entire room with a set that included a cover of the Beach Boy’s classic, God Only Knows. She will now catch her breath before sitting down with our generous partners to collect her prizes. A massive thank you to everyone that came made the night so special (The artists – Lauren Bird, Foreign Affairs, Death By Monkeys & Chase The River, Callum Johnston for the sound & lights, The Bar With No Name, our generous partners and of course everyone who attended). We’re away for a bit of a lie down and then it’s back to planning for Kickstart 2016…
