I have been keeping an even lower profile than usual due to other commitments over the last while and that trend will continue for another week or so. But here are three gigs you shouldn’t miss even if I won’t be attending myself…
Gloomfest – Bar Sub, Belfast – Tuesday 29th October 2013
Vanilla Gloom are no more but they’ve put together a great line-up for their farewell party. They may not be playing themselves but Abandcalledboy, Dutch Schultz, Dog Will Hunt, Katie Richardson, Hurdles and Dyingbreed will all be performing. Prizes for fancy dress we hear too…
Admission is £5 on the door
Katharine Philippa – McMordie Hall, QUB, Belfast – Wednesday 30th October 2013
The talented Katharine Philipa has been keeping a low profile of late. The disappearance has been down to the recording of her new EP, ‘Broken to be Rebuilt’ which she’ll be launching before locking herself away to finish her studies.
The Rupture Dogs – Hague’s Bar, Lisburn – Thursday 31st October 2013
The Ruptures Dogs complete their massive UK tour with a show in Hague’s Bar for SONI’s halloween party. A good chance to see some new material from their highly anticipated debut album, ‘Feral.’ The headliners are joined by R51, St Hellfire and Indigo Fury.
Admission is £5 on the door.
