My evenings are filled with finalising the details of our first monthly gig night but that’s not to say that you should also be confined to your house. Lots of special gigs on offer again this week but here are three for those time conscious among you.
Red Rock – Limelight 2, Belfast – Wednesday 1st October 2014
What better way to see three great local acts than to combine it with raising some funds for the Northern Ireland Chest, Heart and Stroke charity. The bands supporting the cause are The Emerald Armada, Hurdles and Freak’s.
Admission is £7 on the door and all proceeds go to charity
Gifted: Joshua Burnside – The Empire, Belfast – Thursday 2nd October 2014
After an initial raucous return Gifted slides the volume dial down a notch or two with three talented singer songwriters gracing the famous Empire stage. Headlined by Joshua Burnside, you’ll also be serenaded by Jamie Neish (More Than Conquerors) and Callum Stewart.
Admission is £3 on the door
No Tomorrow: Not Squares – Bar Sub, Belfast – Saturday 4th October 2014
No Tomorrow have managed to convince Not Squares to play their first show in nearly 12 months, perfect for all those students to ease the first week of study blues. Support on the evening comes from Hot Cops and Kab Driver. You’ll also be able to pick up the first physical copy of the Thin Air magazine.
Admission is £5 on the door
