The relentless number of gigs from last week has thankfully eased off but there’s no time to relax and put your feet up. There may be fewer shows overall but there is still enough quality that warrants you leaving the lovely warmth of your house and venturing out round the province.
Radar: Wood Burning Savages – Speakeasy, Belfast – Thursday 6th March 2014
It wouldn’t be a Thursday night without a trip to RADAR. This week they have secured the services of The Wood Burning Savages; the Derry natives are fast becoming the support act of choice so it is nice to see them top a bill. Their own supporting cast comes from In Their Thousands and Down To Level.

Mojo Fury – Limelight 2, Belfast – Thursday 6th March 2014
It has been 10 years since alternative rockers Mojo Fury burst on to the local scene. Now with two stellar albums behind them, some awesome support slots and festival performances the band return to Belfast to celebrate. Support on the evening comes from The Emerald Armada and Two Glass Eyes.

Blazefest IV – The Empire, Belfast – Saturday 8th March 2014
The annual Blazefest event returns with another amazing line-up from the local rock and metal community to raise funds for a very worthwhile cause. You can read more about Blaze’s Story here. The bill this year features Stormzone, Worldsend, Sandstone, Baleful Creed, Maverick, Altus, Rebels By Nature and Lipstik Lizards.
Admission is £10 on the door – All proceeds go to the Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children
