What a line-up Belfast Music Week has. Lots of amazing local gigs and showcases to sample the best talent NI has to offer. I’m looking forward to getting back out and catching a few live shows.
Transmit: Concrete Circus – Limelight, Belfast – Wednesday 6th November 2013
Funky Belfast 5 piece Concrete Circus headline the latest Transmit gig to launch their new EP ‘Better Must Come.’ In fairness it’s a soulful line-up all round with the ska infused Aggressors B.C, Cousins of Primates, the Streetwise Samba band and Glen Harkin also on the bill.
Admission is £4 on the door
Rock out for the Rescue: Audio Cavalry – Voodoo, Belfast – Thursday 7th November 2013
Akita Rescue NI have recruited a stack of local acts to try and raise money for their cause with a show in Voodoo. Headlined by alternative rockers Audio Cavalry and also featuring Foreign Affairs, Black Mono, In An Instant, The King Said, and Donum Dei.
Admission is £5 on the door
Sethway – Ballymena Bowling Club, Ballymena – Friday 8th November 2013
This one caught my eye due to the quite unique venue. You’d generally expect a nice acoustic chilled out session for the gentleman bowlers but instead it is a home-coming show for local rockers Sethway. The band have just completed a UK tour and are a local alternative to You Me At Six.
