If you needed some scuzzy, lo-fi rock in your life this week, we have you covered with the new single from Salad Boyz.
Recorded in front man Tommy Haghighi’s bedroom, ‘Dreams 4 Two‘ is an aggressive statement of intent from a band that are usually quite nonchalant. The track has been a stalwart of Salad Boyz’ live show since day one and probably unveils their much taunted saladcore genre as grunge in disguise.
‘Dreamz 4 Two’ will be available on the the band’s bandcamp page on 26th October 2016.
“I think anyone who’s been to a Salad Boyz gig since our first one will probably have heard this by now, so we’re very happy to finally have a recording of it! This is a song about breakups, memories good and bad, trying to move on but not knowing quite how, and figuring out how to punch your subconscious for being a mean ol’ stupid head. The ‘Molly’s Lips’ cover at the end just sort of wormed it’s way in there and it’s been on the set for so long now that you’d have to be dreaming to imagine ‘Dreams’ without it.”
