In these times of self-isolation and social distancing there is plenty to be upbeat about. Despite being so far apart people are coming together more than ever and that is exactly what Malojian and Jason Lyttle have done on new single ‘The Singularity’.
Malojian has always been one to supply music that calms the soul and ‘The Singularity’ is yet another beautiful track to add to his ever-growing repertoire.
Throughout is a reflective lyrical theme of self isolation and reflection that feels very fresh, this could be in part because this song was written on 13th of March and released just three days later on 16th.
After a chat with friend Jason Lytle from the band ‘Grandaddy’, Malojian decided to try and record the track over the space of a weekend. With the short timeframe in mind this track is kept hauntingly simple, driven by piano as softly spoken as the vocal line and backed up by cavernous drone notes to give an intimate feel to a song that feels as if it is being performed in your living room.
