We are half way through August already and that means only one thing, the big guns are in town. CHSQ (Custom House Square) will see a range of international artists visit our shores for a series of huge outdoor shows.
We’ve already had some big nights from Madness, Simple Minds and Ben Nicky but there is plenty more to come and we are spoilt with some fantastic local supports.
Next up is Tom Grennan on Thursday 18th August which features a visit home for our own high flyer JC Stewart and a huge opportunity for the wonderful Lauren Ann who is currently locked away in a studio recording new music.
The following night, Friday 19th August sees Van Morrison take to the CHSQ stage. The Grammy award winning veteran is a huge draw and lovers of soul are in for a real trip as The Gold Tips are on supporting duties.
Those inclined for something a little heavier can look forward to a headline performance from Stiff Little Fingers. With 10 studio albums under their belts, the punk rockers are an unmissable live act. They also boast a stacked line-up that includes The Undertones, The Selecter, Ricky Warwick & the Fighting Hearts and a DJ set from Terri Hooley.
After a short break, Stereophonics make their return to Belfast for another sold out show on Wednesday 24th August. Bangor’s the Florentinas are the support for what will be a fantastic night of live music. The following night it is another sold out show as Paolo Nutini serenades us.
The final night of CHSQ 2022 is a special one as Ryan McMullan celebrates the launch of his long awaited debut album, ‘Redesign’. We’ve had a sneaky listen and it’s a belter and can’t wait to hear it live. He also has an incredible supporting cast in Theo Katzman, Travi the Native and Lucy Gaffney, get Saturday 27th August booked now…
Tickets and further information about CHSQ 2022 can be made on the official website.
