Strange Victory Presents are teaming up with Belfast based roots Rock’n’Roll club Sunglasses After Dark to bring New York’s raucous blues rock and rollers Daddy Long Legs to Belfast for a very special midnight show.
Daddy Long Legs released their debut album ‘EVIL EYE ON YOU’ back in 2012 on Norton Records and the result was original, unbeatable, revival-tent mayhem that alternately sweats, bleeds, shouts and stomps real-deal roots and blues. Hear the thump and bash of drummer/percussionist Josh Styles, searing slide and rhythm from multi-talented guitarist Murat Akturk, and the signature howling harmonica of Daddy Long Legs himself.
The band land in Belfast for a show at The Menagerie Bar on Saturday 9th May and will be taking to the stage at midnight for those with a busy CQAF schedule. And as its Sunglasses After Dark, attendees can expect DJ’s spinning the rarest, greasiest and wildest records from the roots of rock ‘n’ roll that promises no familiarity with “your grannies version of the 50’s.”
