Long time indie poppers Kowalski surprised us all recently when they confirmed that their much talked about debut album would finally be released on Monday 15th July 2013. But they have caused even more of a stir with the announcement that it’s release will be on a ‘Pay What You Want’ basis. There will also be 300 very limited copies available to pre-order on vinyl (further details of where to buy these will come in due course).
The debate over whether it is beneficial for musicians to give away their music for free frequently raises its head but we sincerely hope that each one of you opt to put your hand in your pocket and pay for what is set to be one of the hottest local releases this year.
