The annual Buskfest on the streets of Banbridge is normally a sight to see. 2014 was no different with over 80 musicians taking to the streets to entertain passerbys. As well as obviously earning a few pounds in their pockets, one busker would win a support slot at this year’s Sunflower Fest.
After a long day of live music, the judges plumped for Holywood busker, Matthew Malcolm as the most impressive musician. Sunflower Fest organiser, Vanessa Magowan was particularly impressed, “We are delighted to welcome Matthew Malcolm to our growing list of performers for this year’s festival. We believe Matthew’s musical talent and style both make him an excellent fit in this year’s line-up. Our whole team and our guests are anxiously awaiting Matthew’s performance.”
