The Northern Ireland Music Prize delivered another memorable night as we celebrated another fantastic twelve months for the music scene here.
Live Act of the Year was an incredibly tight category and it could’ve one either way but it seemed fitting that Chalk walked away with the title for 2023 after delivering a powerhouse performance to open the show.

After a touching video package, the Joe Cassidy Award was presented to Chalk. They are lucky to receive a bursary that will help them further their careers.
Problem Patterns held nothing back in an incendiary performance that featured a sizeable mosh put at the front. Easily cementing their place as one of our most electric live acts.

Single of the year was another strong category this year with To You by Moonboot taking the top honour for 2023.
Video of the Year was taken home by Problem Patterns with ‘Who Do We Save‘. With their take on what would happen in a cash strapped NHS if the band were in charge…
ATL Introducing Artist of the Year for 2023 was awarded to Tramp, a band who have captured plenty of hearts and minds over the last year.
The biggest award of the night, Northern Ireland Album of the Year 2023 went to the very worthy Arborist with An Endless Sequence of Dead Zeros.
