Our manic friends at The Distortion Project present a double dose of heavy metal mayhem over the St Patrick’s weekend, in the form of 2 high quality shows. On Saturday the 16th March The UK’s premier Slipknot tribute band Spitknot will take to the stage of the recently refurbished Limelight 2. Featuring members from a number of well established Northern Irish metal bands, Spitknot are a full costume, full visuals, full on metal machine! Support on the night comes from local grind kings The Obscene Machine. Doors are at 7pm, with the first band on at 7.15pm sharp!!! Admission is £10, and its pay at the door for this one.
Then, on Sunday 17th March, Norwegian progressive extreme metalers Enslaved will bring their unique and inspiring brand of heavy metal to Belfast, in support of their new album “RIITIIR”. They’ll also play the Limelight 2, and we can be sure to expect and invigorating and innovative performance from these talented Scandinavians. Supports come in the form of Winterfylleth and Magacult. Doors are at 7pm, and tickets (priced £19) are available from Ticketmaster.
