War Iron to Release ‘Precession of the Equinoxes’

War Iron is proud to announce that their new album Precession of the Equinoxes, will be available on CD worldwide on April 28, 2015. Consisting of four tracks of heavy, sludge-infested doom, Precession of the Equinoxes will undoubtedly be remembered as one of the best albums of 2015. The album is currently available on Bandcamp in digital format with the CD available as a pre-order.

Since their first release in 2010, the band has been hailed far and wide by both music critics and doom fans alike, due to their ability to create bone-crushing riffs, and doom that is close to perfect in sound.

Biography:

Since War Iron’s first release in 2010 it has always been the intention to create and play pulverizing heavy music. The line-up is now cemented with Ross now playing guitar, and tunings being dropped to add even more low end grunt. Add pounding drums and caustic vocals to the downtuned guitar and bass, and you have War Iron.

The band have played with Eyehategod, Napalm Death, Procession, GBH, Wormrot, Conan, The Wounded Kings, Urfaust and Black Magician, and have had festival appearances at Dublin Doom Days and Desertfest London.

Praise for past War Iron albums:

“The Faceless Sea is unrelentingly heavy and adds War Iron to the list of effective dealers of new school doom and sludge aural punishment.“-The Obelisk

“War Iron, from Belfast, is a further proof, if needed, that the British doom scene is alive and punishingly kicking, and awesome”–Doomantia

“The Fifth And Final Son is a triumph on all counts and one album that I will definitely be coming back to time and time again”-The Sludgelord

“If you like the kind of earth shattering slow doom and sludge of Conanand Slomatics then War Iron may just be what you need”.-Echoes and Dust

War Iron is:

Baggy – Vocals
Ross – Guitar
Dave – Bass
Marty – Drums.
