The four piece Irish pop/rock act from Limerick return with the latest single from their second album, ‘Human Relations’. They blend acoustic introspection with modern pop/rock with some sense of originality. It’s a song of three parts; a moody intro, then going up a notch for a couple of verses, before launching into the final chorus-like crescendo. They do have undoubted promise and have all the component parts for an interesting sound; Hope’s voice, the female backing vocals supplied by bassist Yvonne Conaty and Brendan O’Gorman’s smooth electric guitar are all handled well by producer Neil Hogan ( The Cranberries). Whether or not this song in particular will catapult them any higher than they are, remains to be seen, but judging by their previous singles, their album should be well worth a listen.
‘Ugly’ was released on March 15th on itunes and their album ‘Human Relations’ will be released on April 6th.
