Sound of Belfast week is upon us which means we’ll be running about like headless chickens trying to see as much live music as possible. We’re delighted to take part with our own gig on Friday night but there’s so much else on offer including of course the Northern Ireland Music Prize on Saturday night. For those of you not in Belfast you’ve also got the wonderful Atlantic Sessions up the North Coast so you’ve no excuse to get out and about this week.
Scratch My Progress – Oh Yeah Music Centre, Belfast – Wednesday 12th November 2014
The latest batch of Scratch My Progress artists have finished their programme and are putting on their usual end of term showcase. As far as gigs go it would be a pretty impressive line-up regardless with Hot Cops, Hurdles, Matthew Duly, Serotonin & R51 all aiming to please.
Admission is £5.
Civilization: Runaway Go – Voodoo, Belfast – Wednesday 12th November 2014
Civilization return with another strong line-up as Runaway Go return to play their first headline show in Belfast for a while. They’ve been off recording their debut album so expect to hear some new music. Support comes from In An Instant and the Late Twos.
Admission is £6
CB Presents: LORIS – The Bar With No Name, Belfast – Friday 14th November 2014
Shameless self promotion but we’re hosting the EP launch of fast rising Belfast band, LORIS. Their debut release turned plenty of heads so expect more indie electro goodness and of course the first chance to grab the EP. Support comes from Those Ghosts, Havana House Party & Owen McGarry.
