Well that was some shocking news about Glasgowbury (Glasgowbury 2013 to be the last). Having always featured on NI gig goers calenders since it’s inception, the festival will leave a massive gap in the local scene. I guess from 2014 it will be interesting to see which local festival takes over from where the team at Glasgowbury left off. But for those of you without tickets I really urge you to get them now and give it the send off it deserves.
Craig McConkey – Black Box – Thursday 18th July 2013
Local singer songwriter Craig McConkey takes to the Black Box to release his debut EP ‘These Hills They Breathe.’ Having spent some time touring the UK, his appearance in Belfast with his band is eagerly anticipated. Support comes from Joshua Burnside and Feet For Wings.
Tickets are £4 on the door
Comrades Rock: Sinocence – Comrades Rock Club – Friday 19th July 2013
Heavy metallers Sinoncence headline Comrades Rock Club’s latest line-up on a night when earplugs will definitely be required. Their latest release ‘No Gods, No Masters’ continues their tradition of melodic metal. Support comes from Maverick and Terminus.
Admission is £5 on the door!
Glagowbury 2013 – Eagle’s Rock – Friday 19th – Saturday 20th July 2013
Glasgowbury returns to Eagle’s Rock for their final ever festival. For the first time there will be music on the Friday night as well so you’re advised to head down early on Friday to get set up. With the cream of NI’s local talent all heading up the mountain you would be mad to miss out!
Weekend Camping Tickets are £45 and are available directly from Glasgowbury
