Rob’s Gig Guide: 19th – 25th August 2013

Probably the toughest week of 2014 when it came to picking the gigs to highlight to you lovely people. So many fantastic local gigs all piled into one weeks, why do you do this to me bands?

Hidden Machine #2: The New Ancestors – Voodoo, Belfast – Thursday 24th April 2014

After a very positive start new promoters Hidden Machine return with their second show and it’s a beauty as they’ve managed to convince The New Ancestors to take a trip home and serenade us. The bill is filled out by the equally sumptuous Silences and His New Atlas.

Admission is £5 on the door

SONI: Loris – Hague’s Bar, Lisburn – Thursday 24th April 2014
Female fronted electro pop trio, Loris, burst onto the scene with their adventurous single ‘I’ve Been Quiet.’ This will be their first live show but based on the hype and praise the band have garnered so far, it is an event you must attend. Support from 20 Second Century.

Admission is £4.50 on the door

Shizznigh Promotions: 4th Birthday – Stiff Kitten, Belfast – Friday 25th April 2014

Jonny McKee’s Shizznigh Promotions celebrate four years of putting on quality gigs with a stupendous shin-dig in the Stiff Kitten. A jam packed line-up is filled by Pocket Billiards, BeeMickSee, The Greased Palm, We Build Mountains, & Donal Scullion.

Entry is £6 before 10pm, £7 after.
