It has been a busy weekend for Chordblossom with a significant number of us up enjoying the final Glasgowbury and one or two being entertained by Bruce Springsteen in Belfast. Whichever event you strayed to this weekend it was glorious and we’ll have plenty of coverage coming your way soon.
Mojo Fury – Melting Pot, Rostrevor – Thursday 25th July 2013
The Melting Pot have put together a fantastic series of gigs for this week but it is the headline appearance from Mojo Fury that is the stand-out for me. They have just announced details of their new album & pledge campaign to launch it and some new material will no doubt be previewed and if it is anything like new single ‘The Difference Between’ it’s going to be a winner. Support from ABandCalledBoy and Aspen Pales.
Tickets are £5 on the door
Breed: Ciaran Lavery – Pavilion – Friday 26th July 2013
Highly rated singer songwriter Ciaran Lavery headlines the latest instalment of Breed at the Pavilion Bar this Friday. His debut album ‘Not Nearly Dark’ is a stripped down, relaxed affair with dark undertones that is worthwhile experiencing live. Support comes from Little Rivers and Patrick Gardiner.
Admission is £5 on the door!
Stormzone – Diamond Rock Club, Ahoghill – Saturday 27th July 2013
Stormzone are leading the way for local heavy metal bands and our own Al Gilmore waxed lyrical about their new album ‘Three Kings.’ Bands and fans alike have also praised the Diamond Rock Club for being an excellent venue and so it will be a special night. Support comes from Agincourt.
Tickets are available from We Got Tickets for £6.60
