Rob’s Gig Guide: 19th – 25th August 2013

November is definitely here: the weather is a bit wetter; the temperature a few degrees cooler but thankfully that makes no difference to the number of great shows on offer. In fact you should be inspired to get out of the house, switch off the tv, turn off your laptop or tablet, put down that book and get out and experience some live music. You’ll thank me later.

Gifted: The Wood Burning Savages – The Empire, Belfast – Thursday 6th November 2014

Less than a month after tearing up Bar Sub for us, the Derry lads return to rip up another of Belfast’s gigging establishments. This time the target is the Empire with their accompaniments in Arborist and Hillspeak bringing a distinctly folky vibe to proceedings.

Admission is £3.

RADAR: Robocobra Quartet – Bar Sub, Belfast – Thursday 6th November 2014

The unique jazz/hip hop infused spoken word band that is Robocobra Quartet have set a fair few tongues wagging with their live shows. It’s no surprise then to learn that RADAR have nabbed them to headline their next event along with Dubliner’s Val Normal and the ferocious alt rock of Belfast’s own Escobar.

Admission is FREE

3 for 3: The Hardchargers – Sunflower Bar, Belfast – Friday 7th November 2014
