This month, Volume Control has been given the exciting opportunity to team up with Broken Melody Records to promote the label’s first release to an all age audience on Friday 16th August at the Oh Yeah Music Centre in Belfast.
The acts performing on the night are Future Chaser, Wyldling and The Couth. Each act promises to bring their own individual style to the night, whether it be Future Chaser’s moody melancholic sound, Wyldling’s infamously energetic stage presence or The Couth’s mix of 60’s surf rock and modern indie genres.
Volume Control and BMR are also offering a chance to play on the night. If you are an up and coming band or artist and are unsigned, then this is your chance to play Volume Control and possibly get signed to a record label. All you have to do is send us your best track via a link to our email: volumecontrolbelfast@gmail.com
Tickets will be priced at £5 and are available from We Got Tickets, doors will open at 7pm. This is an all age event. Anyone under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
Come the 16th of August, the current Volume Control team will have put together four all-ages gigs. We are gradually gaining the knowledge needed to use our own initiatives and creativity to make the most out of each gig; for ourselves; the acts performing; and hopefully for our audience too.
Progression has been evident in all team members, each of us discovering where we fit best within the team. Personally, I feel VC has given me the opportunity to develop my confidence in liaising with people. I have always loved writing and I aspire to be a music journalist, however I have also learned I have a talent for promotion and would love to continue to be involved with this in the future.
Watch out for Teenage Kicks #4 next month.
Hope to see you on the 16th August!
