Chalk – Black Box – Thursday 18th May 2023
Upon the release of their ‘conditions’ EP, distinct trio ‘Chalk’ have established a post-punk sound with electronic elements inspired by the visual arts, a truly eccentric yet effective combination. I am intrigued and excited for this to be performed live.

Indie fanatics, this gig is for you. Dreamy bedroom-pop artist lemonade shoelace is set to headline voodoo, expect a night of all around enthusiasm and good vibes. As support, moonboot, an indie-funk four piece with heavy jazz and soul influences. Their debut single ‘To u’ rapidly brought them onto the scene, and things are looking up for them.
Sasha Samara – Oh Yeah Music Centre – Thursday 25th May 2023
Sasha Samara celebrates the launch of her debut EP ‘Why am I still here, I never learn’, a promising and anticipated release following the success of single ‘problems’, a indie-pop Hayley Williams-esque bitterly upbeat hit. Expect new tunes, with a familiar vibrant atmosphere.
Volume Control – Oh Yeah Music Centre – Saturday 27th May 2023
Volume Control makes their anticipated return with their first gig with the new team, featuring an all female and non binary line-up. Headlining, leading Northern Ireland shoegaze four-piece Virgins, alongside queer dream-pop solo Susie Blue, melodic indie-rock Wynona Bleach and teen singer-songwriter Cora Harkin. Volume Control gigs are renowned for their booming energy, from moshes to crowd-surfs, don’t miss out.
