CQAF: John Francis Flynn – Ulster Sports Club, Belfast – 12th January 2024
Rising name in the Dublin folk scene, John Francis Lynn embarks on his tour for late 2023 sophomore album Look over the wall, See the sky and stops off at Ulster sports club. This incorporation of traditional Irish windy and wistful instrumentals with a Hozier-like homely and reassuring voice makes for an alluring performance.
SONI: The Thing Is, Dirt Cheap, The New Normal & The Street Puppets – Empire, Belfast – 12th January 2024
Kicking off 2024 following a year of non-stop gigging, and the release of debut single Earwax, The thing is are ready for an Empire headline, with no doubt of bringing the roof down. Joining, an assortment of local talent take the stage from the classic rock noise of dirt cheap, to the new normal’s punk vivacity and the street puppets distinctive take on indie.

Fraulein are a Northern Irish/Dutch duo attracting hype due to their infectious live attitude and grungy tunes that could draw in a crowd from the first verse. This enticing duo possess the power of PJ Harvey and Hole, yet make their own indescribable mark.
Foreign Mornings & Mark Hegan – The Goat’s Toe, Bangor – 13th January 2024
Set for a run of shows in the new year, Foreign mornings begin in their hometown of Bangor at the Goat’s toe. The acclaim of debut album 4am lives on, a reflection of the fresh statement of individuality this project brings to their discography. Supporting, Mark Hegan, a fresh face that has already made his mark on the scene from NI music prize nominations, a response to his upbeat pop-rock tunes.
