The Eric Bell Trio – Court House, Bangor – 6 March 2025
Eric Bell was a founder member of Thin Lizzy, performing on the band’s first three albums including classic tracks like Whiskey in the Jar and The Rocker. Bell has continued to perform, record and tour through the decades releasing several albums and performs a rare Bangor headline.
Blue Pool x NuMuze Present Late Night Art – Ulster Sports Club – 6 March 2025
A brand new collaboration between Blue Pool and NuMuze will see some of the hottest bands from across Ireland play during Late Night Art. The first edition features Hotgirl and Penny’s Band.
SONI: Crude Vernacular – Pavilion, Belfast – 7 March 2025
SONI are back in the big house with another four band whopper to whet your appetite for new music. This iteration will showcase the talents of Crude Vernacular, Black River Myth, Plastercast & Harambe Forever.
Nahinch Notes: The 2:19 – Harry’s Place, Ballynahinch – 7 March 2025
The final show of this series of Nahinch Notes is a sublime one. Highly regarded blues outfit The 2:19 will play songs from their latest album and plenty of old favourites that will showcase their powerhouse talent.
Sáoirse: GRÁ Album Launch – Duncairn, Belfast – 8 March 2025
Sáoirse launches her new album which features a deeply personal approach to song writing, weaving intricate harp melodies with narratives rooted in real-life experiences and unfiltered emotions.
Yew Tree Battle of the Bands Heat 3 – Nan Rices, Newry – 8 March 2025
Yew Tree are doing their best to elevate the local music scene in Newry and their recent Battle of the Bands has seen a number of sold out shows. The final heat features performances from IV, Deepest Well, AOA, and Mosi.
Neil Burns: Golden Sunsets Album Launch – Black Box, Belfast – 8 March 2025
Neil Burns launches his latest album with a huge show in the Black Box. The record which explores lush chamber music textures and jazz influences will be presented in its entirety with a full 13-piece ensemble.
Elder Druid: 10th Anniversary Show – Voodoo, Belfast – 9 March 2025
Heavy hitters Elder Druid reflect on a remarkable ten years of causing a ruckus with a special headline show in Voodoo. They’re planning to bring the noise with a heavy hitting support cast of 7.5 Tonnes of Beard, Slomatics and New Mud.
Khakikid and Aby Coulibaly – Limelight 2, Belfast – 11 March 2025
Jameson Connects brings two of Ireland’s most exciting artists, Khakikid and Aby Coulibaly, together for a one-off show at Limelight 2, Belfast, on March 11th. More than just a gig, this exclusive event will see the duo unveil a brand-new track, before its official release later this year. Also performing on the night is rising hip-hop artist Leo Miyagee, who will open the show with his signature blend of punchy lyricism and jazz-infused beats.
Volume Control: Problem Patterns – Oh Yeah, Belfast – 14 March 2025
Don’t forget your ear plugs as Problem Patterns headline the latest all ages gig in the Oh Yeah. Expect a ferocious and fun night of music. Support from Fightmilk, Lipstick Boy & Mushy Bois.
Axecatcher – Bennigans, Derry – 15 March 2025
Axecatcher bring the noise to Bennigans on what will be a raucous Saturday night. The metallic hardcore outfit will be joined by Corner Shop Prophets, Empty Spaces and Zeal Machine.
Bea & The Belfast Groove Collective – Court House, Bangor – 16 March 2025
Young soul singer Bea joins forces with the Belfast Groove Collective featuring Michael Culbertson and Matt Holland to perform and create original music and collaborative, refreshing live performances. The band brings together local musicians drawing inspiration from the greats such as Nina Simone, Etta James, and Amy Winehouse.
Huartan: Oíche an Nathair – Oh Yeah, Belfast – 16 March 2025
After a sold out show at Halloween and walking out as Live Act of the Year at the 2024 NI Music Prize, Huartan are a band to be reckoned with. Experience ‘Tradtronica’ (a fusion of the traditional and electronic music) as, on the eve of St. Patrick’s day, Huartan invite you to gather for Oíche an Nathair – the Night of the Snake.
GIFTED: Tramp – Empire, Belfast – 20 March 2025
We’d be remiss not to mention our own gig this month. We’ve a very special Gifted in the Empire as we welcome Tramp as our headliners. Fresh from the release of their debut EP and a BBC 6 Music session in the venue late last year, it is sure to be a night to remember. Support from Monday’s Child and Martha Greer.
Polar Bolero – Duncairn, Belfast – 21 March 2025
Polar Bolero need to be seen live. Their live performances resonate with high levels of energy and joy and are fast developing a huge following. Support comes from Rua Rí in who is putting his own spin on folk and traditional Irish music while still maintaining an echo of the tradition.
Yew Tree Presents: Battle of the Bands Final 2025 – Nan Rices, Newry – 22 March 2025
Yew Tree’s Battle of the bands competition concludes with an epic final. The heats have all been sell outs so expect this to be a sweaty and intense swansong. The line-up is still to be finalised but confirmed artists so far include Headcase, Discworld_, Overgrown & Plastercast.
Voodoo Sessions: AOA – Voodoo, Belfast – 26 March 2025
The ever popular Voodoo Sessions returns in March with their usual focus on up and coming talent. Headlined by West Belfast punk rockers AOA with support from Crude Vernacular and Von Loop.
I’m Wide Awake, It’s Morning: Anniversary Gig – Oh Yeah, Belfast – 27 March 2025
To mark twenty years since the release of Bright Eyes’ I’m Wide Awake, It’s Morning, Joel Harkin will be joined by a seven-piece band and special guests to perform the classic album in its entirety. The show was originally scheduled for January but had to re-scheduled following storm warnings.
Acid Age: Perilous Consumption Album Launch – Limelight 2, Belfast – 28 March 2025
The Distortion Project host an the album launch show for “Perilous Consumption” the new album from ACID AGE. Containing 7 tracks of dynamic, intriguing, original and just plain heavy songs of the finest was-jazz-thrash.
