Formed from the ashes (three quarters) of the ferocious Making Monsters (there that’s out of the way), Sugarwolf unleash their much anticipated debut single ‘Loose Ends‘ following a handful of live shows in their new incarnation.
Immediately I’m reminded of another band formed from a breakup, the massively underrated theStart. A gloriously bass and synth heavy intro are quickly joined by the distinctive and delightful vocals of Emma Gallagher that will make Sugarwolf such a force to be reckoned with.
Lyrically, somebody isn’t massively popular with the vocalist. By the end of the song we’ve been treated to only a snippet of Gallagher’s amazing range while the guitar parts largely sit deep in the mix.
With ‘Loose Ends’, Sugarwolf offer up a swagger to the local scene that has been missing since Making Monsters fell quiet. We are excited to hear more.
