On the cusp of a decade playing music, Lisburn’s Mojo Fury have a strong case for being our most consistent band over the past number of years. With two brilliantly dynamic albums under their belts, a successful pledge campaign and numerous dynamite live shows. The Mojo-clan have rarely put a step wrong since their formation many moons ago.
And keeping in line with their stellar back-catalogue, the trio’s latest offering is another nugget to be filed in the ‘Ruddy brilliant’ section of our music libraries. ‘Iris Influential’ is the third single to be taken from their alt-rock odyssey ‘The Difference Between’ and has debuted with an equally murky video.
The track itself is dominated by a foreboding repetition of keys that belies a moody, haunting atmosphere. And this cloud of eeriness is aptly portrayed in the accompanying visuals. Produced by Daniel Holmes, the video sees the band playing in a smoke filled, red tinted field late at night, eventually drawing a hypnotised brood of followers to the band.
Mojo Fury celebrate their 10th Anniversary with an upcoming boisterous Birthday bash on Thursday, March 6 @ Limelight 2, Belfast. Support comes from folk-revellers The Emerald Armada and North-Coast noise merchants Two Glass Eyes.
