Another reasonably quiet week of local gigs though we suspect that they are all saving themselves for the ridiculousness of Belfast Music Week when we will all be out at least one gig each night.
The Dead Presidents – The Empire, Belfast – Thursday 17th October 2013
Masters of funk, soul and rock the Dead President play a sublime SONI gig in the Empire this week. I am nearly sick of saying it but they truly are one of the best live bands you will see from our wee country. Not to mention a slick supporting cast of The Couth, R51 and Shanokee.
Admission is £5 on the door
Baleful Creed – Voodoo, Belfast – Friday 18th October 2013
Brought together by a love of classic rock, the riff loving Baleful Creed take to the intimate surroundings of Voodoo to entertain your ears. Support on the evening comes from Maverick, Bakken and the fast rising Screaming Eagles.
Admission is £5 on the door and proceeds go to The Nordof Robins Music Therapy charity.
Stef Campbell – Sunflower Bar, Belfast – Saturday 19th October 2013
The lovely Stef Campbell launches her new double EP with a gig in the Sunflower Bar. Fans of americana and folk would be wise to get down and soak up the great tunes, particularly as she will have a full backing band. Support from DANI and The Wolf Is In.
Admission is £5 on the door
