Where does the time go, one minute it’s Monday and then before you know it half the week is gone. Well that’s my excuse for no gig guide last week, not that too many of you would miss it though. Regardless there’s plenty of local live music on offer this week, so get down to the venues and support it.
RADAR: PigsAsPeople – Bar Sub, Belfast – Thursday 19th February 2015
The tour de force that is PigsAsPeople are currently on an Irish tour and naturally that calls for a stint at RADAR. The ear-shattering three piece will tear up Bar Sub with Two Glass Eyes (just finished recording their debut album) and shoe-gaze favourites R51.
Admission is free
Lives – The Menagerie, Belfast – Thursday 19th February 2015
Angsty rockers make their greatly anticipated Belfast debut with a headline show no less in the Menagerie. Early comparisons to the Strokes, are quite flattering for the County Down four piece. They have also managed to round up indie stormers Havana House Party and Thee Penny Dreadfuls to ensure it’s a quality evening.
Admission is £3
BMR: The Sea, Close By – White’s Tavern, Belfast – Friday 20th February 2015
Sometimes we need to strip things back and just relax. Broken Melody Records’ acoustic showcase should be the ticket. Featuring The Sea, Close By (formerly Paper Man), Jess Edlin, The Jury Disagree, Stef Campbell it’s the perfect way to end the working week.
Admission is £5 on the door
