After the mayhem of last week where I had to increase the number of shows I wanted to highlight, things have thankfully died down a bit. Whilst there are fewer gigs there is still plenty to be excited about.
Getting to know: Rams’ Pocket Radio – Oh Yeah Centre – Thursday 11th April 2013
The Oh Yeah Centre have convinced Rams’ Pocket Radio to open up about his career so far as well as playing a few tunes as part of their Getting To Know series. Rams’ Pocket Radio has been hotly tipped as one to watch across the local and national music press. He performed on the BBC Introducing stage at Glastonbury 2011, toured with and supported Snow Patrol, and in May 2012 performed his own version of the NI punk classic ‘Alternative Ulster’ at the Ulster Hall as part of the BBC Radio Ulster ‘Great Northern Songbook’ event.

Ed Zealous – Stiff Kitten – Friday 12th April 2013
Electro rockers launch their latest single ‘Medicine’ at the Stiff Kitten with support from the Wonder Villains, Go Wolf, Not Squares DJs. So it’s an all local affair that is full of electro pop/rock goodness. We still may be waiting for their debut album but Ed Zealous still put on one of the best local live shows around.

Kasper Rosa – The Empire – Saturday 13th April 2013
Progressive rockers end their current tour with a date at The Empire. Their latest release single, ‘Icebreaker’ sees them at the peak of their creative powers and with support from hotly tipped Enemies from Dublin and our more local Go Wolf and Psychojet this is the perfect end to a Saturday.
