Rob’s Gig Guide: 19th – 25th August 2013

It has been a while since I have been writing my gig guide but hopefully you have still heard it on our weekly podcast. There are an exceptional amount of great gigs on this week so put your hand in those pockets and get down to these shows.

Radar: Empty Lungs, Gascan Ruckus, Joshua Burnside – Speakeasy, Belfast – Thursday 12th December 2013
Possibly the most exciting Radar line-up in a long time sees a joint headline show. Gascan Ruckus came back with a bang only a few weeks ago at the Mojo Fury album launch are joined by Empty Lungs. The rock punk band have also been quite quiet of late which makes it even more important that you get down.

Admission is FREE

Volume Control: Soak – Oh Yeah Music Centre, Belfast – Friday 13th December 2013
Soak’s stock continues to rise and after an adventurous year touring Europe with the likes of Tegan & Sara and Bombay Bicycle Club, she returns to home turf. Also on the bill are BeeMickSee (he’ll maybe have to tone down his usual antics…), The Late Twos and Treehome.

Admission is £5 on the door or from WeGotTickets

The Jepettos – Sunflower Bar, Belfast – Sunday 15th December 2013
Folk darlings The Jepettos are putting out their brand new EP ‘Troubles’ with an intimate gig in Belfast. Their charming music will be supplemented by the acoustic stylings of Feet for Wings and singer songwriter Ciara O’Neill.

Admission is £5 on the door or in advance from WeGotTickets

Do you want some Free Publicity?
