Our fortnightly gig guide picks out a handful of must see gigs taking place across Northern Ireland.
Songbook: Grand Finale – 2nd April 2024 – Ulster Sports Club, Belfast
Organised by Nathan O’Regan Songbook has been the source of some fantastic gigs over the last few years. A really unique concept where the artists on the bill would be teamed up with the Songbook house band. This Tuesday marks the grand finale and they are going out with a bang with the help of Gareth Dunlop and Lucy Bell with possibly another surprise or two to come.
Radio Houston Sessions – 4th April 2024 – American Bar, Belfast
Radio Houston Project returns to Belfast this April to kick-off their new live format: Radio Houston Sessions. A series of intimate, laid back shows featuring established acoustic and electric artists stripping their sound back. The first series in these shows features naturally a performance from Radio Houston Project but appearances from indie rock outfit Foreign Mornings and indie folk songwriter Cathal Francis.
Rory Nellis – 12th April 2024 – Oh Yeah, Belfast
Rory Nellis has been playing lots of solo shows of late but his return to the Oh Yeah is one to attend as he gets the band together. Expect plenty of new music alongside all of the old favourites too.
Cora Harkin – 13th April 2024 – Nerve Centre, Derry
Despite her young age Cora Harkin is making waves across NI. This latest show marks the release of her new single ‘Your Sweet Veronica’, another step forward in her progression and development as a talent songwriter. Support on the night comes from Boy M5 and young guitarist Zac Mac.
The Breeze – 14th April 2024 – Court House, Bangor
Stevie Scullion of Malojian fame has teamed with long-time collaborators Chris Coll (Lost in the Fog) and Decky McManus (The Basement), for his latest venture The Breeze. Fresh from the release of their debut album, this will be a great opportunity to see them on form, especially with the album receiving great reviews across the board.
How do I get added to the gig guide?
There are tonnes of great gigs happening right across Northern Ireland each week and our gig guide only showcases a fraction of them. If you are hosting a gig and would like us to consider adding it to a future Gig Guide, please send all the details to info@chordblossom.com and we’ll get back to you as soon as we can.
Please be kind and remember we can’t feature everyone and where possible please try and give us at least 3 weeks notice.
