Rob’s Gig Guide: 19th – 25th August 2013

We’ve had our fill of gig promotion this month so it’s back to porridge for us. But spare a thought for anyone attempting to try and promote a local show this week considering things are dominated by the Creative Belfast Output showcases on Thursday night. Still the opportunity to see some of our brightest and best for free shouldn’t be sniffed at, just a shame they’re spread out across the city rather than all housed under one roof.

RADAR: New Ancestors – Bar Sub, Belfast – Thursday 16th October 2014

Radar returns and is re-locating to the more cosier confines of Bar Sub and they celebrate the return to Belfast of the New Ancestors. They’ve turned a few heads with their chilled folk vibes and should be the perfect anti-dote for all the freshers week madness. Support comes from The Young Folk & The Holy Innocents.

Admission is Free.

Creative Belfast: Output – Various, Belfast – Thursday 16th October 2014

Eleven venues in Belfast will be hosting a stack of great Northern Irish music showcases. The likes of David C Clements, Go Wolf, Ryan Vail, More Than Conquerors & Joshua Burnside will all be found around Belfast for free shows. You can read more about the event here: Creative Belfast Presents Output.

Admission is Free

Ricky Warwick & Damon Johnson – Diamond Rock Club, Ahoghill – Friday 17th October 2014

Ricky Warwick & Damon Johnson of Black Star Riders fame hit the infamous Diamond Rock Club for a night of rock and riffs.

Admission is £12 on the door or £13.20 in advance via We Got Tickets
